This well-established and award-winning business is focused on building high quality residential and modular properties in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty, as well as growing strategic partnerships and alliances with developers and landowners. It has established a very good reputation for having strong and enduring client relationships, and demonstrating its core values in everything that it does. The company has long-term strategies that are focused on regional growth, and enhancing the integration of its complementary group of businesses. It has recently formed a strong partnership with another well-known Waikato business to support its growth aspirations.
Reporting to the Board, you will be expected to provide strategic leadership, advice and support for business planning and decision making, as well as initiate opportunities to grow and strengthen the business. The inspirational and supportive development of a skilled senior management team will also be part of the role, along with ensuring strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and contractors. Ensuring that the organisational culture and company values are demonstrated consistently across all parts of the Group, which will require the active engagement with team members across the various businesses, will also be another important accountability of the role.
To be considered, you must have a proven history as a successful business leader, ideally within a commercial construction environment. You will need to have strong business and commercial acumen, including contract management skills, and know how to consistently deliver targeted bottom line financial performance. It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, and are a highly skilled relationship builder. A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
This is a unique opportunity for someone wanting to progress their career into a new challenging business leadership and management role, and to influence a business that has significant growth potential. It will be a “hands on” role, that will work across the Group. The position will be based in Hamilton.
