Description

This well-established and privately owned mid-sized business distributes some leading iconic brands of specialist home and lifestyle products through specialty stores and leading NZ retailers. It has built a reputation for being innovative and highly responsive in the way that it operates.

Working closely with the MD, you will be expected to be across all business systems, actively looking for efficiencies, better integration (including ERP and Ecommerce systems), and areas for improvement. In addition, providing support to the operational areas of the business, from demand planning to inventory management, and financial and IT processes, will also be a key part of the role. You will also be expected to lead and develop a team of four.

It will be important that you are strongly analytical and systems oriented, and enjoy “deep diving” into business data and associated information, to better understand trends and/or potential business performance enhancing opportunities.

You must be highly personable and likeable, which will enable you to get alongside business managers and provide them with the advice and support that they need for planning and decision making. Being able to work autonomously and having high work standards will be important, as will a strong interest in commercial business activities. High attention to detail is essential, as will being able to handle multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

It is essential that you have at least five years of accounting/management accounting related experience, ideally in a commercial environment, and are a current member of CAANZ.

This role will appeal to someone seeking a new, exciting and challenging career move that could lead to other job opportunities within this business. There is a strong and supportive team culture.
