This well-known and highly regarded specialised manufacturing business has established itself as an industry leader. It operates from sites based in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch. They are strongly customer focused, and use their expertise to partner with design engineers, specifiers and fabricators to ensure the optimal quality and benefits of their manufacturing process.
This role will be responsible for managing the operational delivery of the manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and continuous improvement. It will require an inspirational leader who can develop and maintain a strong team culture, strengthen relationships with key customers and suppliers, and establish and grow new business opportunities. Ensuring good health and safety practices are in place across the business, and that manufacturing processes achieve or exceed compliance requirements, will also be important. You will have full P & L responsibility, and be expected to report against agreed business and financial delivery KPIs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience in leading a manufacturing oriented business, ideally with multiple sites, with responsibility for overall bottom line performance. Proven capability in leading LEAN practices and health and safety strategies, are important, as are well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate that you can grow a business, and lead managers and their teams to perform and grow.
