HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY

Westervelt is an internationally renowned and well-established tourism, farming, forestry and manuka honey business. This new role will work with and support the NZ General Manager and senior managers to ensuring that there are high quality and consistent operational health and safety practices across the businesses.

This role has been created to lead the strengthening of health, safety and well-being across all of the business units. It will require a focus on developing programmes, policies and procedures to actively support safe operational delivery practices, to ensure staff are aware of their responsibilities and the behaviours required to look after themselves, others and company property and equipment. Ensuring ongoing compliance with all relevant legislative and environmental management requirements and reporting on these, will be an important aspect of this role.

To be considered for this position, you will need to have had operational management experience in the development of health and safety policies and procedures, ideally within a multifaceted business, and the associated training and auditing of these. You must have well developed organisational and planning skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good writing abilities.
