This well-known and privately-owned company is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead and develop this business, which has significant growth potential. The business is in primary production, with a particular focus on the horticulture and food sector.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for enhancing production efficiency and productivity, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing key stakeholder relationships, including landowners and iwi, and leading a multi skilled and multi-cultural team. In addition, there will be a focus on annual business planning and associated reporting requirements, along with contributing to longer term business strategies.
To be considered for this position, you will need to have had senior operational management experience in a primary production, or related areas. You must have well developed organisational and production planning skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good writing abilities. A practical understanding of MPI and a strong focus on ensuring high QA standards are important, as are strong financial management and analysis capabilities. It is essential that you are able to manage and motivate a team to consistently deliver operational performance and be able to work autonomously across some multi sites.
