This privately owned business comprises of a group of companies focused on diverse areas of interest, and it has been operating over two family generations. It intentionally maintains a low profile, despite the high profile nature of some of its business interests, which cover land development, commercial property and related interests, and farming.

They are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant with a broad range of skills, and a strong foundation in supporting a senior management team. This new role has been created in response to increasing business demands, and the need to have additional internal administrative, accounts and executive related support.

Key responsibilities will include providing the Chief Operating Officer and Management Accountant with day to day support, including collating information for Board and management decision making, continually enhancing the internal information management systems, inputting information into the finance system and helping the office to run smoothly. There will also be the important responsibility for looking after accounts payable (AP). If you have also had payroll experience, that would be advantageous.

Important attributes sought for the position includes previous executive support experience, strong administration abilities and the delivery of the AP function, ideally for a privately owned business, and in the areas of land development, commercial property or farming. You must have excellent written and oral communication skills, have high attention to details, possess well developed organisational skills and are timely and accurate with your work. It is also important that you are personable, easy going, able to work in a small team, but have also demonstrated the ability to work autonomously. It is desirable that you have worked with Xero before.
