Fitzherbert Rowe is a well-known and highly respected law firm based in the Manawatu, with offices in Palmerston North, Waipukurau and Feilding. It has operated in the region for over 138 years, and is looking to strengthen its position in the local marketplace, and enhance the way in which it delivers its high quality services. The partners are seeking a skilled senior executive manager and leader to work with them, to help to develop and grow their business and team in a planned and focused way, and they have created this new role as part of their future focused business strategy.

You will be expected to focus on developing and implementing strategies that will enable the partners to focus more on their relationships with their clients, and to support them to actively work on growing their business and practices. Ensuring that the business support functions are integrated, efficient and fit for purpose, will also be key requirements of the role, as will the active leadership and development of the skilled and experienced support team. Enhancing the organisational culture will also be a key area of focus.

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have proven business management and leadership experience at a senior level, with well-developed skills in strategic planning and thinking, along with strong commercial and financial management and analysis capabilities, ideally within a professional services environment. Thoughtful decision making and problem-solving abilities, along with high attention to detail, will be sought after attributes. You must have a naturally engaging and warm personal style, and have high quality written and oral communication abilities. Strong business development and marketing related skills are essential, along with a relevant tertiary qualification.
