This long established, well-known and privately owned Waikato based vocational training provider, has developed a national reputation for delivering a high quality education and producing sought after students. They have Category 1 status.

The business is seeking a new leader, someone who can build on the very strong foundation that has been successfully developed over the past 20 years, and bring different and fresh ideas to organisation for the next stage in its growth. There will be high degree of autonomy to work on and in the business, and you will be supported by an experienced and skilled Board.

This will be a hands on role, where you will be working closely with the experienced and passionate tutors and motivated students, to ensure that the learning provided is of the very highest quality, and that it is constantly meeting the changing needs of the industry and marketplace. It will also include ensuring that the training facilities and associated resources remain fit for purpose and future focused.

To be successful, you will also need to actively engage with schools, industry, employers, NZQA and TEC, to better understand their needs and requirements. This will require the building of strong and enduring working relationships and partnerships.

It is important that you have proven abilities to lead and develop a business strategically, while still being able ensure that that it performs operationally in the delivery of its core day to day activities. You must have well-developed organisational and planning skills, high attention to detail and very good IT skills. It is essential that you can demonstrate that you have the ability to form and sustain strong relationships with a wide range of people of all ages, and from different cultures. A relevant tertiary qualification is also essential.
